Rohit Sharma turned 33 on Thursday and the who’s who of India’s cricket fraternity, ICC and BCCI wished the bluster starter on his special day.
The Hitman, as he is so often known, has earned three double hundreds in One-Day Internationals (ODI) and four centuries in T20 Internationals (T20I).
Rohit holds the record for the highest individual score in ODI. He accomplished this feat against Sri Lanka when he crashed 264 runs in Calcutta in 2014.
Rohit, who captains the Mumbai Indians, is the most successful captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He led the Mumbai franchise to four IPL titles.
At the 2019 World Cup, the right-handed hitter crushed five centuries and finished the tournament as the best scorer.
Rohit is also one of three Indian hitters who have scored a hundred in all three formats of the game.
Suresh Raina and KL Rahul are the other two Indian hitters who have accomplished this feat on the international circuit.
