Several leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Chairman Om Birla wished Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Yuvajana Congress Party Chairman Sramika Rythu (YSRCP) YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on his birthday Monday when he turned 48 years old.
“Birthday greetings to Andhra Pradesh CM Shri @ysjagan Garu. I pray that the Almighty bless you with a long and healthy life, ”tweeted Prime Minister Modi.
“Birthday wishes to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri @ysjaganji. May you be blessed with good health and a long life, ”wrote the Union Minister of Roads, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.
Tamil Nadu Prime Minister K Palaniswami also greeted his Andhra Pradesh counterpart. “On the happy occasion of your birthday, I would like to convey my warm congratulations and wish you many more happy returns to the day. I pray that the Almighty will grant you many more years of good health to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh with renewed strength and vigor, ”Palaniswami tweeted.
DMK President MK Stalin also extended his birthday wishes to Jaganmohan Reddy. “On behalf of the DMK and the people of Tamil Nadu, I wish the Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and my good friend @ysjagan a very happy birthday. I also wish many more years of service to the people of your state and our country, ”the DMK leader said in a tweet.
YSR Congress Party workers and leaders celebrated their president’s birthday by organizing state-level blood drive camps to mandal. They also distributed fruit, food and clothing to the poor of Andhra Pradesh. In many districts of the state, local leaders have placed huge posters and banners along the roads to greet Jagan Mohan Reddy on his birthday.
Jagan Mohan, son of congressional stalwart YSR Reddy, led his party to a landslide victory in the 2019 assembly elections in the state. Of the 175 seats in the assembly, the YSRCP won 151, reducing the then-ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to 23 seats. Jagan formed his own party in 2011 after a dispute with the national leadership of Congress.
