Calcutta: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Jitendra Tiwari returned to the party on Friday within 24 hours of his resignation and stated that he is with the TMC. While confirming his loyalty to the party, he also said that he will seek forgiveness from the West Bengal CM and the head of TMC, Mamata Banerjee, for their actions.

Tiwari’s comments came after West Bengal Minister and TMC leader Aroop Biswas met with disgruntled MLA.

While speaking to the media, she said: “I learned that Mamata Didi is deeply hurt by my behavior. I cannot afford to hurt her. So I apologize to her and Firhad Hakim.”

“I return to the party. I will ask my party not to accept my resignation. I will not leave TMC,” he added.
