Last week, the Office of Narcotics Control summoned big names from Bollywood, including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Top Bollywood leaders were summoned after Jaya Saha, who was linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput case, was questioned and the names of these stars appeared in alleged drug chats. In the midst of this, a Republic TV report claims that in the next phase of the investigation into the alleged drug nexus, the NCB could summon “more important and influential” names from the industry. Furthermore, the Republic TV report stated that the investigation in phase 3 could last up to a month.

The Republic TV report stated: “Phase 3 of the NCB investigation is set to bring ‘biggest names’ behind the scenes and off the radar today. Officers are likely to call out ‘most influential names’ and the process will take a month. “In addition, the news channel’s report added that, according to reports, the names of this linked to the media may also appear. It was after the investigation of Deepika, Sara, Shraddha this week that the NCB also seized their phones for forensic analysis and Republic TV also reported that their financial transactions from the last 3 years are also under the NCB’s radar.

The head of the OCN, Rakesh Asthana, reportedly came to Mumbai from Delhi to review the OCN’s findings and reportedly gave the team six months to submit the charge sheet. It was after alleged drug talks between Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty and others emerged that the Directorate of Enforcement called the NCB to investigate. Post that, Rhea, Showik, Dipesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda and many other drug dealers were arrested. Jaya Saha’s name came to light and last week she was interrogated several times.

That’s when the alleged talks by Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash on drugs came out. They had a 2017 date. Deepika, Sara, Shraddha, Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta were questioned by the NCB last week, and if the Republic TV report is to be believed, many more names may come up.
