Delhi, with 121 reported deaths, contributes 23.68 percent of the new deaths, the ministry said.

The national COVID-19 recovery rate remains above 93%, as 93.68% of all cases have recovered to date and 41,024 new recoveries are recorded in one day.

Expressing concern about the increase in coronavirus cases, the Supreme Court asked the Center and all states to submit within two days status reports detailing the measures taken to address the situation.

The high court also said that there is an increase in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra and that the authorities must take action and prepare for the worst for December.

“Things have gotten worse in Delhi, especially in November. You are submitting a status report on the measures that have been taken, ”a bench headed by Judge Ashok Bhushan told additional attorney general Sanjay Jain, who was appearing for the Delhi government.

The high court said that the Center and the states will make every effort to mitigate the situation and address the growing number of COVID-19 cases.

Noting that there is an increase in COVID-19 cases across the country, especially in Delhi, Maharashtra and Gujarat, the court took note of the submissions from Attorney General Tushar Mehta, who said that the Union Interior Minister, Amit Shah, had met on November 15 and the necessary steps are being taken. being led to face the situation in the national capital
