New Delhi:
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will announce the date of the 2021 CBSE Board exams on December 31, 2020, the Education Ministry reported on Twitter. Shortly after the Minister of Education announced that the exams will not take place until February, several students in classes 10 and 12 have been demanding a final data sheet for the 2021 CBSE Board exams. Each year, the Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) takes exams in February and March and releases the date sheet in November. However, this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE Board’s exam schedule has been delayed.

Mr. Pokhriyal recently reported in a live discussion with teachers on December 22 that the CBSE board exams will take place after February and in offline mode. “The practical exams are usually taken between January 1 and 15, while the optional ones take place between February 15 and mid-March. However, considering the current situation, it is impossible to take the exams until the end of February. We will make a final decision on the dates of the exams as to when the exams can be taken after February, ”he had said.
The education minister had also said that if students cannot visit their schools to do laboratory work, alternatives to practical exams should be explored. He also assured the students that “our government is in favor of the students.”
Considering the difficulties students face when taking advantage of online classes in remote areas, it will be difficult for students to take exams online, the minister said. “Many CBSE schools are in rural areas. Therefore the next exams in 2021 cannot be taken online,” Pokhriyal said.
In his webinar on December 10, Mr. Pokhriyal answered questions about NEET 2021, JEE 2021, and the 2021 board exams. He announced that JEE 2021 will be conducted in four sessions over the next academic year.
