Wife, son of Delhi police officer who died of positive Covid-19 test

Three days after Amit Kumar, 32, a Delhi Police Officer Died of COVID-19 Related complications, his wife and son have also tested positive.

“His wife and three-year-old son were tested for the virus the day after Amit passed away. Late Friday night, her result came, and they have both tested positive for the virus, “said the 26-year-old woman’s brother. Kumar was sent to the Bharat Nagar police station in north-west Delhi, and Vijayanta Arya, DCP (northwest), also confirmed that the agent’s wife and son had tested positive.

Kumar’s wife and son live in Haryana’s Sonepat. “When his result came, we received a call about it and an ambulance was dispatched. Both are admitted to the PGI hospital in Khanpur, “said the woman’s brother.

It was last Saturday that Kumar left for Delhi from Sonepat after a break. On Monday, he returned to work and complained of shortness of breath in the afternoon, and then again at night. On Tuesday morning, he became ill again, was taken for the Coronavirus test and allegedly rejected at two hospitals. At night, while on his way to the RML hospital, Kumar passed away.

“At least nine people in his extended family who knew him while he was here in Sonepat were tested for the virus on Friday,” said Kumar’s brother-in-law.
