This comes less than a month after the jewelry brand had to remove an ad for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
“I hope to meet my mother after a long time, definitely not firecrackers. I don’t think anyone should light firecrackers, but lots of diyas,” Sayani Gupta says in the announcement posted on social media platforms last Thursday.
However, the ad was not well received by a section of social media users, who were offended by the ad’s message to avoid firecrackers during Diwali.
“Why should anyone advise Hindus how to celebrate Our Festivals? Businesses should focus on selling their products, not lecturing us to refrain from popping Crackers,” tweeted BJP National Secretary General CT Ravi.
