Who is winning the US presidential election?


Republican Donald Trump faced Democratic challenger Joe Biden on Tuesday in the US presidential election. There are 538 Electoral College votes allocated to all 50 states and the District of Columbia. 270 votes are needed to win.

The table below shows the projected winner for each state as predicted by the media and data provider Edison Research, as well as the Electoral College tally based on each group’s projections.

Edison Research provides exit poll and vote counting data to the National Election Pool, a consortium made up of ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC News. Networks use the data to inform their projections. Reuters has an agreement with NEP / Edison to distribute exit polls and vote counting data to customers. Reuters has not independently tabulated the results. The Associated Press has a separate voting and vote counting operation and does its own projections. Fox News relies on AP data to inform its projections.
