Whitney Houston’s former mentor Clive Davis is in talks with the producers for a biographical film based on the life of the late singer. It has been titled I want to dance with someone.
There is good news for all enthusiastic Whitney Houston fans as a biographical film based on the life of the late singer is being prepared under the guidance of Clive Davis, Grammy-winning music producer. The film has been officially titled I Wanna Dance With Somebody and will be produced by Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten, who will also be responsible for its script. There is one more person who will be associated with the production and this is Pat Houston.
According to the latest reports, multiple hit songs from Whitney will be used in the biopic that will definitely benefit from the same. Clive Davis, who is also Houston’s former mentor, approached McCarten last year in April for the aforementioned project. However, it is not yet clear when the movie will be configured with a particular distributor. Another question that arises here is about the actress who will be playing the role of Whitney in the proposed biopic.
Whitney Houston’s tragic death shook the entire entertainment industry in 2012. The American actress and singer enjoyed a large following internationally for all obvious reasons. The Where Do Broken Hearts Go singer is still regarded as one of the best-selling music artists who also holds a world record for being the most awarded artist (woman) of all time. In addition to singing, he had appeared in several movies including The Preacher’s Wife, Cinderella, and Sparkle.
