Actors Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor have been summoned for questioning based on the 2017 WhatsApp chats involving drugs, sources told NDTV. These conversations were found on the mobile phone of talent agent Jaya Saha, who has been questioned in a growing drug investigation related to the death investigations of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Jaya Saha was a former talent manager for Sushant Singh Rajput, a 34-year-old actor who was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. She was among the many questioned after WhatsApp messages recovered from Sushant Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s phone. revealed conversations about acquiring drugs.
In the chat transcripts accessed by NDTV, two people have a conversation about sourcing hashish and were allegedly Deepika Padukone and her business manager Karishma Prakash. The chat, which is in group, is from October 28, 2017, around 10 pm

Two more prominent actors, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, have also been summoned by the Office of Narcotics Control. Their names allegedly came up during the questioning of actor Rhea Chakraborty, the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, who was arrested on September 9 on charges of arranging drugs for him.
Deepika Padukone was called up on Friday and Rakul Preet Singh tomorrow. Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor will be questioned on Saturday.
So far, there have been no drug seizures in the case.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in a separate case on record after 59 grams of marijuana was seized during searches in Mumbai, which were also linked to the Sushant Rajput investigation.
