Resonance Consultancy said it ranked the top 100 cities in the world with a population of more than one million, using a “combination of statistical performance and qualitative assessments” of locals and visitors in 25 areas grouped into six main categories. India’s capital was described as one of the “few places in the world with the hectic and throbbing pace of Delhi, which explains its 18th place position, including 29th in tourist attractions.” “In fact, Delhi is a city built on or near the ruins of a previous city, and today visitors can trace the ages, exploring centuries-old forts, tombs, shrines and mosques. Old Delhi is the place to immerse yourself as you step in and out of chaos, shop for trinkets and handicrafts in frenzied street bazaars and marvel at the Red Fort.
“Unsurprisingly, Delhi also ranks high (# 17) in restaurants, and it’s a must to try everything you can. Now add a “click” to the cacophony of Delhi: Despite its ancient roots, the city is entering the new millennium with a # 23 ranking in Promotion. Its rankings on Facebook Check-ins (# 14), Google Trends (# 13) and Google Search (# 9) reveal a city eager to show itself to the world, ”he said.
