A leader of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh was caught on camera threatening and physically assaulting a toll plaza staff after she was allegedly detained for failing to pay the toll tax.

Attacking the ruling party, the BJP Secretary of State Rameshnaidu Nagothu called it a “sheer display of arrogance”. “YSRCP leader D Revathi misbehaved with the toll plaza staff because he asked them to pay the toll tax. According to NDTV, a complaint against Revathi has been filed at the Mangalagiri Police Station, where the toll plaza is located.
