NEW DELHI: President of BJP JP Nadda will embark on a 120-day journey national tour to tone up the party’s formidable organizational machinery with an eye toward the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, as the saffron dispensation seeks to focus on regions where it did not fare well in the last general election.
BJP Secretary General Arun Singh told reporters that Nadda will start her trip from the first week of December and Uttarakhand will be the first state on her itinerary.
December 5 is the probable date for the start of their tour.
Singh said that the BJP chairman will visit all states, hold virtual meetings with the heads of all booth units, the smallest organizational entity in the party, and meet with all deputies and community members of the organization, as well as their senior leaders, including district heads, in each state.
Nadda will visit some booths to interact with ground workers, he added.
During the trip, he will also strategize with party leaders to strengthen the organization in the Lok Sabha seats and regions where the BJP did not win in the 2019 elections, he said.
With assembly polls in four states, west bengal, Kerala, Tamil nadu Y Assam, to be held in the first half of next year, will also review the party’s preparation for the elections, Singh said.
Nadda will spend three days in the big states and two in others.
The states governed by the BJP will give a presentation to Nadda on various aspects of their work, including the implementation of central government schemes and how to raise awareness about them.
He will also meet with BJP allies and hold public programs and press conferences, Singh said.
Nadda’s predecessor Amit shahNow the Union Minister of the Interior, he had also toured extensively across the country during his tenure and is credited with having played a pivotal role in propelling the BJP to a strong position in several states where it used to be weak.
