At midnight Thursday, rumors spread that police are reportedly asking residents within 5 km of the LG Polymers plant to evacuate due to another gas leak. The incident occurred when authorities evacuated people within a 1 km radius as a precaution, as there was still a quantity of styrene vapor in the area.

Police began deploying patrol vehicles beginning at 2:30 a.m., making announcements that there is nothing to worry about. Many people began to return to their homes in the morning, while police teams urged those who remained outside to return to their homes.

However, many locals complained about the pungent smell in their area. Some residents turned off the electricity in their homes as a precautionary measure and did not sleep until dawn.
