Virat Kohli’s hitting style has many admirers around the world, who love the way the Indian captain goes about his business on a cricket ground. Some like Kohli’s hitting technique, while others like his determination to succeed and have his team win in any situation. The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is used to receiving all these accolades, but never thought he would receive a compliment for his much less well-known talent, that is, playing soccer, than also from none other than Harry Kane, who he is one of the best strikers in the Premier League. Like many cricketers, Kohli also likes to play soccer before starting his cricket training and had shared some photos from the practice session on Instagram.
In one of the images showing Kohli controlling a soccer ball, he caught the eye of the Tottenham Hotspur striker, who was impressed with the “good technique” of the Indian cricket star. Praising Kohli’s skills, the English forward commented: “Good technique right there.”
Delighted with Kane’s “legitimate observation”, the 31-year-old hitter thanked the “technically gifted” England international for his wonderful words. “@harrykane haha thanks buddy. Coming from a technically talented player like you, I know this is a legitimate observation,” Kohli replied.
Kohli and Kane met during the Over 50 World Cup in England last year and even played cricket together. While this time Kohli has received praise from Kane, back then it was the English striker who impressed the Indian patron with his pace and bowling action.

After their match, Kohli praised Kane and said that the England forward is “much better at cricket than I am at football.”
Both Kohli and Kane are the talismans of their respective clubs and countries. While Kohli will next be seen in action playing for his Indian Premier League (IPL) RCB franchise in the United Arab Emirates, Kane is set to appear in England’s UEFA Nations League clash against Iceland on Saturday. .
