The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) led by Virat Kohli recorded their seventh victory of the season by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets in a one-sided match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday. Following his team’s victory, the RCB skipper shared a group photo on Instagram with AB de Villiers, Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Siraj, his featured artist from last night. While there wasn’t much in the image as it showed the four standing side by side, it was Kohli’s caption that made everyone identify with the image. In the picture you can only see De Villiers smiling while others have confused looks. While sharing the image, Kohli wrote that it was something that brought him back to “school days”, reminding him of cases where four students from the same class are standing but only one of them has completed their homework while the rest know they are in trouble.

“This picture takes me back to school time. 4 guys from the same class, and AB is the guy who finished homework and is ready and the other 3 know they are in trouble. Kohli captioned the image.

Rashid Khan, the SunRisers Hyderabad troublemaker, couldn’t help but respond to the post and left funny comments.

“And Siraj doesn’t even know that the teacher has given us homework,” Rashid commented.

RCB are in tremendous shape in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and with their victory last night they climbed to second place in the points table, with 14 points from 10 matches, as did the leading Delhi Capitals.

Mohammed Siraj smashed KKR’s first order by picking up three wickets in his first two overs. He also became the first bowler in tournament history to throw two maiden overs in one match. Their record-breaking spell helped RCB restrict KKR to a paltry 84/8, which they chased with ease in 13.3 overs. Kohli was undefeated on 18 of 17 balls, while Gurkeerat Singh Mann was not out in 26 runs.
