No dream is too big to achieve
The Delhi-born hitting genius in his post thanked BCCI for giving him the opportunity to represent India. The talisman leader added that that journey has taught him that no dream was too big to achieve.
“I would like to thank my family, my coach, my friends and all the people who have supported me during this decade and the BCCI for giving me the opportunity to represent my country, which has been a great honor for me all these years. I would like to thank the ICC for this]recognition and all the people who voted for me in the ICC Decade Awards. Sharing this tweet that I posted 10 years ago, it was hopeful. I have come to realize through this journey that if you believe in yourself and play sports for the right reason, no dream is too big to achieve. Regardless of the challenges and obstacles, you will continue to move forward with this belief and see how your dreams come true. Thank you once again “Virat Kohli said in his post.
Virat Kohli, who had scored 20,396 runs in all of international cricket during the time period, which is more than anyone else, was also part of the India team that won the World Cup in 2011 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. He was also named ICC Cricketer of the Year in 2017 and 2018, so it came as no surprise that he emerged as the clear jury favorite for the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade as well.
