Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli provided an interesting response to Harry Kane, who asked the cricketer about a possible place on the franchise team for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. . Kane took to Twitter on Friday and shared a video in which he can be seen hitting a tennis ball cleanly during an indoor cricket game with other Tottenham Hotspur players. “I have a hit in the T20 to win a game I think. Anywhere I go for @RCBTweets in the @IPL next season @imVkohli,” read the footballer’s tweet caption.

Kohli praised the Tottenham forward’s skills in his reply. He went on to suggest a potential role as a “fast break” hitter on the RCB team.

“Haha, good skills mate. Maybe we can get you in as a counter hitter @HKane,” said the hitter’s reaction.

Kohli was seen in action during the first ODI of the three-game series between Australia and India on Friday. The 32-year-old failed to make much of an impact, scoring 21 runs as many deliveries with the visitors defeated by a 66-run margin.

RCB had previously responded to Kane’s post, confirming that they had reserved jersey number 10 just for the footballer. “We have reserved jersey number 10 just for you @harrykane,” read the IPL franchise comment in the forward’s post.

Kane has been in good shape for Tottenham this season, with seven goals to his name. Tottenham are currently at the top of the Premier League table, having accumulated 20 points from nine games.
