Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are celebrating their third wedding anniversary today and the captain of India marked the occasion by sharing a photo with his wife on Twitter, captioning the post: “3 years and a lifetime together.” The star couple had tied the knot on December 11, 2017. However, they will not be together today, with Virat Kohli touring Australia with the Indian team. He will soon be reunited with his wife, after being granted paternity leave, who will see him return home after the first trial in Adelaide that begins on December 17.

In August this year, Kohli and Anushka had announced that they were expecting their first child. Kohli will leave the Australian tour after the first test to be with his wife at the birth of their first child.
India is scheduled to play a four-round Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
India lost the ODI series 1-2 after losing the first two matches of their tour but recovered brilliantly. They won the final ODI in Canberra and then won the first two Twenty20 Internationals, taking an unbeatable 2-0 lead to clinch the series.
However, India’s attempt to cover up the hosts was thwarted by an excellent hitting display from Matthew Wade and Glenn Maxwell as Australia won the final T20I to end India’s winning streak in the shorter format.

The focus won’t shift to the long-awaited test series, but India will be without its captain and star hitter for three test matches.
It is also a cloud over Rohit Sharma’s fitness and it is not yet known when he will fly to Australia.
