Vidya Balan criticizes the defamation of Rhea Chakraborty: “Isn’t she supposed to be innocent until proven guilty?” – bollywood

Vidya Balan condemned the media coverage of the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput and the “defamation” of Rhea Chakraborty, whom her family has accused of being an accessory to her suicide. He lamented the “media circus” and said the law must be allowed to run its course.

In response to Lakshmi Manchu’s tweet criticizing the media for ‘(making) a monster out of a girl’, Vidya wrote: “God bless you @LakshmiManchu for saying this out loud. It is so regrettable that the tragic and untimely death of a beloved young star Sushant Singh, Rajput has become a media circus. At the same time, as a woman, my heart breaks at the defamation of Rhea Chakraborty. Isn’t it supposed to be ‘Innocent until proven guilty’, or is it now ‘Guilty until proven innocent’? Let’s show some respect for the constitutional rights of a citizen and let the law take its course ”.

Lakshmi previously tweeted about Rhea’s recent interview and criticized the ‘media judgments’ she was subjected to. Expressing faith in investigative agencies and the judiciary to unearth the truth, she had written, “… until then we can restrain ourselves from being mean and cruel and lynching the person and their entire family without knowing the facts. I can only imagine the pain the whole family is going through with these so-called media trials.

“If something like this happened to me, I would like my colleagues to defend me, at least those who know me, to say back off, wait, leave her alone and I ask everyone to do the same. only until the whole truth is officially published. It hurts what we have become. How are we being authentic if we don’t speak our hearts when we have a voice to lend? I am defending my colleague, ”he added.

Taapsee Pannu had shared Lakshmi’s tweet and urged everyone to trust the law and not “go ahead (of) the judiciary to convict someone who has not been proven guilty.”

However, Sushant’s niece, Mallika Singh, criticized those tweets, writing on Twitter: “I’m surprised that at this point, some people suddenly remember what ‘family grief’ and ‘stand up for a colleague’ means.”

Sushant died on June 14. Her family has claimed that Rea is responsible for her death and has demanded that she be arrested. The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) are investigating different angles of the case.
