Members of the Tibetan community in exile in the mountainous city of Shimla, in northern India, gathered to support the Indian army troops of the Tibetan Border Special Force heading to the Royal Line of Control (LAC) along the border of China in Ladakh. of the Tibetan community gathered in Panthaghati on National Highway 05 near Shimla to boost the morale of the Indian army before heading towards the conflict zone between the border region of India and China. The Tibetans offered Khata (Buddhist prayer scarf offered to greet someone) to the troops here to wish them good luck. The Special Border Force or SFF, also known as the Vikas battalion, received a warm respect and welcome with traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice and refreshments here along the way. Young Tibetans living in exile in India since birth are proud to welcome and support their fellow Tibetans who are serving in the Indian army as front-line warriors for more than 50 years.
