As the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) crackdown on the drug nexus in Bollywood grows larger, several ‘A-listers’ are passing through the central anti-drug agency’s scanner. Republic Media Network recently tracked down and confronted actress Vicky Kaushal, who was part of last year’s party at Karan Johar’s residence that the NCB is investigating. Republic TV asked Vicky Kaushal about the 2019 video, but the actor remained silent and evaded questions.
Former Delhi MLA and Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a complaint with the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) against Bollywood actors seen in a viral video dated 2019 taken at the party in home of director Karan Johar. Questions were raised about Vicky when the camera was passed to him in the video. She can be seen instantly rubbing her nose and when Karan focuses the camera on director Ayan Mukerji, the latter can be seen hiding something behind her. A pattern in the video was questioned, with some claiming that it resembles a white substance placed on a surface, while others thought it was simply a reflection of light.

Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating an alleged drug-Bollywood nexus, summoned actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, among others, for questioning on Wednesday. Republic Media Network learned that Deepika, who is currently in Goa, will be heading to Mumbai on a chartered plane on Thursday and leaving Goa around 12:30 pm.
Deepika Padukone will be at NCB on Friday
Deepika Padukone was called up on Friday. According to sources, she will meet with her legal team and is looking to buy more time. On Thursday, the central anti-drug agency spoke with Deepika Padukone by phone and was briefed on the development, the sources said. Deepika Padukone, Simone Khambatta and Rakul Preet will be questioned at the NCB guesthouse in Colaba. Rakul Preet, however, has claimed that he has not received a subpoena in Hyderabad or Mumbai on Thursday morning.

Republic Media Network sources had reported that Deepika Padukone sought legal advice via video conference with a 12-member team in Mumbai after she was summoned by the NCB. The sources added that Ranveer Singh was also on video conference together with Deepika’s lawyers.
