The 2018 film was directed by Shashanka Ghosh and featured Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles. The creators of Veere Di Wedding 2 are reportedly planning to retain the ladies from the main cast of the prequel.
According to a report on SpotboyE.com, the long-awaited sequel will begin rolling after Kareena’s delivery. The actress announced her second pregnancy in August this year. “They are definitely doing it with the same cast. They will make the sequel after Kareena’s second baby, ”said the portal to a source close to the project.
The film’s co-producer, Rhea, had started an Ask Me Anything session in February on Instagram. He was asked if the sequel would be happening or not. To this, Rea confirmed that it could happen sooner than expected. She added that she is excited because things are looking good.
