Dubai [UAE], Sept. 30 (ANI): In the ongoing match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, Robin Uthappa was seen spitting the ball while fielding in the third over.
As a precaution against the coronavirus, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned the use of saliva to make the cricket ball shine. However, players can use sweat as an alternative to make the ball shine.
The incident took place in the third second when Uthappa dropped an easy catch after starting hitter Sunil Narine fired a fly ball in an attempt to clear the field.

A team can receive up to two warnings per inning, but repeated use of saliva on the ball will result in a 5-run penalty for the hitting side, according to the ICC.
After being asked to hit first, KKR made 174 runs on the back of Eoin Morgan’s 34 well-made with 23 balls. In the final, Tom Curran gave up 16 runs and allowed KKR to pass the 170-run mark.
Meanwhile, the Royals started the chase on the wrong foot as they lost boss Steve Smith in the second to himself. Even Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler failed to bring the attack on the opposition, as the hitters looked to rush things rather than stop the wingers and take the chase on the bottom.
At the end of the 10th final, the Royals score read 61/5 with the last wonder of the match, Rahul Tewatia and Tom Curran, looking to dig up and record a comeback. (AND ME)
