President Donald Trump made his first public appearance Saturday after his discharge from Walter Reed Hospital. In a gathering of hundreds of people on the White House grounds, Trump expressed support for law enforcement in the United States. Public health officials had previously stated that this meeting was not recommended due to the increase in coronavirus infections, especially after Trump’s own diagnosis and that of many White House staff who subsequently tested positive for the virus.

TIME had reported that although Trump had entered the White House lawn wearing a mask, he had removed it to address the assembled supporters. “I feel great,” Trump was heard saying. Critics had said Trump did not reveal whether he was still contagious before addressing so many people and the White House had said they had no information on the matter. On Saturday night, hours after his appearance on the White House lawn, Trump’s doctor, Dr. Sean Conley, had said that the president could return to his usual hours. “Tonight I am pleased to report that in addition to the President meeting the CDC criteria for safe isolation interruption, this morning’s COVID PCR sample demonstrates, by currently recognized standards, that it is no longer considered a risk. broadcast for others, “Conley said in a statement, reported CNN.

But criticism of the lack of transparency has only grown because neither Trump nor White House officials and Conley have disclosed when the president was last tested and whether he tested negative after his positive test last week. In the absence of information, it is difficult to say if Trump is still contagious and if he can expose others during public appearances in the run-up to the election. Amid Trump’s many tweets and his health updates, other developments in the political sphere may be less noticed, but they are just as important, if not more. Less than a month before the US election, The New York Times reported that Trump ordered US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to declassify thousands of emails from Hillary Clinton, and asked US Attorney General William Barr to issue indictments against Barack. Obama and Joe Biden Jr. The Times said these moves are without precedence and indicated Trump’s desperation to divert the national conversation and attention from his administration’s mishandling of the coronavirus outbreak in the US, hoping to take advantage of anything that can help with your re-election. The main senators of the Republic have expressed their concern that Trump could lose the elections. “I think it could be a terrible choice. I think we could lose the White House and both houses of Congress, which could be a bloodbath of Watergate proportions, “Ted Cruz had said in an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box on Friday. “I’m concerned. He’s volatile, he’s very volatile,” he added. The Guardian reported that Cruz had also said that he “saw the possibility of Trump being re-elected” with a large margin. ” The Guardian report had indicated that these views were based on Trump’s mishandling of the coronavirus and the White House’s own failures to adhere to public health protocols. Joe Biden has been targeting swing states in recent weeks before Election Day on Nov. 3, appealing to disgruntled Republicans and independent voters, CNN reported. The theme of Biden’s speeches has centered on promising that he would be a president for all Americans, not just those who would support him. During a campaign speech Saturday in Pennsylvania’s Erie County, which Trump narrowly won in 2016, Biden said: “I am running as a proud Democrat, but I am going to rule as American President.” He added: “We may not agree on everything … but we do agree on this: this is a time to put the country above the party,” using a phrase known to appeal to conservative voters.

Biden’s speech also focused on the economy and how Trump’s mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic has affected the working class in the country. You can read the CNN report here: https://cnn.it/3lxkazC
