The revised schedule of UPSC civil services preliminary examination will be uploaded by June 5, 2020, after assessing the situation. A notification regarding this was published on the official website of UPSC on Wednesday.
The UPSC civil services preliminary examination 2020 was originally scheduled to take place on the 31st of May, but had to be postponed due to the blockage caused by the coronavirus outbreak of the disease in the country. In a press release issued on 4 May, the commission had announced its decision to postpone the civil services preliminary examination 2020.
Fresh of the date of the UPSC exam would be announced on the 20th of May, but the commission has once again postponed the decision on issuance of fresh date.
The candidates can check the new dates for the online examination after it was published June 5 in upsc.gov.in.
Each year, more than seven lakh registration of candidates for the UPSC prelims and is regarded as one of India’s most coveted examinations. This year 10 lakh aspirants registered for the UPSC prelims examination.
The civil service examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year to select candidates for IAS, IFS, IPS and several other posts.
