LUCK: In an attempt to check the depletion number of specialists from the Provincial Health and Medicine Services (PMHS), the UP government has forced government doctors seek the NOC to undertake postgraduate courses to serve in the picture for at least 10 years, Shailvee Sharda reports. Those who fail to do so will have to return Rs 1 crore as a fine to the government.
“According to the rule, doctors in service who perform PG courses They will have to give in writing that they will return to the primary cadre upon completion of their program and serve for a minimum period of 10 years. In case they fail, they will have to pay a fine of Rs 1 crore to the state treasury, ”said Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad.
The rules in this regard had been framed through an order issued by the Yogi Adityanath government in April 2017. Prasad issued a new order on Thursday to strictly enforce this order. The same order also stated that in-service physicians who drop out of the PG course mid-way will not be allowed to take the PG exams for three years. Of the 8,000 sanctioned posts for medical specialists in the cadre, 60% of the posts are vacant.
