Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Mumbai to meet 41 Bollywood celebrities and industrialists in order to shape the developing city of high-tech cinema in NOIDA Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi was scheduled to leave for Mumbai on Tuesday night. On December 2, 2020, CM Yogi will symbolically launch the Lucknow Municipal Corporation bond on the Mumbai Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, in an effort to shape the city of cinema in NOIDA, CM Yogi is scheduled to meet 41 Bollywood celebrities. The Chief Minister has already held several meetings regarding the infotainment city to be built on 1000 acres in Sector 21 of the Noida Yamuna Authority. At a meeting held in Lucknow on September 22, 2020, he had solicited suggestions from film industry representatives for Film City, on which the film industry giants had provided their suggestions to the Yamuna Authority.
Apart from this, the big shots had also urged CM Yogi to provide facilities for movie pre-production, production and post-production under one roof, in one place, and develop facilities for clubs, sports, towns, teleportation, commercials, location. internal and external, etc.
They had also sought studio ease of sound mixing, special effects, color transformation, video editing. It was suggested that the film studio be built in such a way that the exterior looks like a luxurious building, so that filming can be done and can be changed as needed. The work has started from the suggestions of Bollywood celebrities.
For this, ‘Ernest & Young’ has been selected by the government as an advisory agency for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Infotainment City. This agency is preparing DPR taking into account the proposal of the filmmakers and the film policy of the state government. The DPR is expected to be ready soon and work on the ground will begin after that.
During the meeting with CM Yogi, Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai will talk about the city of cinema to be built in UP. During this time, many investment proposals are also expected to come to Film City and it is expected that during this time CM will also discuss investment proposals with Bollywood veterans.
CM Yogi will arrive in Mumbai on Tuesday evening and meet Bollywood actor star Akshay Kumar on Tuesday evening. Following this, the Chief Minister will meet Bollywood celebrities on December 3 for approximately four hours from 10.30am to 2.30am During this event, the CM will also meet with the Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council, Raju Srivastava, Gorakhpur MP and actor Ravi Kishan along with Dinesh Yadav ‘Nirhua’, Bollywood actors Randeep Hooda, Arjun Rampal and Satish Kaushik.

Preparations are being made for the city production of films in the UP and for this, the government is also providing all the facilities for film production. More than 38 movies have been subsidized in the last three years in the state. Every year around Rs 150-200 million of subsidy is given to film production in the state. At present, many films are being produced in the state at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 50 crore.
In the Yogi government, a grant of nearly Rs 21 million has been awarded to 38 films since 2017. Popular movies such as ‘Red’ and ‘Article 15’ have also received subsidies from the UP government, while the screenplay for 22 Films has recently been approved by the UP Film Bandhu Committee on behalf of the UP government. Apart from this, the other 20 approved scripts are regional films. The UP government has released Rs 65 lakhs for the film starring Swara Bhaskar ‘Nil Battee Sannata’ and Rs 60 lakhs for Babu Moshai Bandookbaaz, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Under the new film policy at UP, the government provides financial assistance of up to 2 million rupees to films shot in the state. There is a provision of 25 percent or a maximum of two million rupees for films made in Hindi or other Indian languages in the state and 50 percent for films made in regional languages.
If there are five actors from the state in the film, then there is a provision to give an additional 25 lakh and an additional 50 lakh if all actors are from the state. Tourism department properties also offer a 25% discount.
