Unlock Guidelines: On Tuesday, the Center made no further changes to the new unlock guidelines issued for November. The Interior Ministry in a statement said the Unlock 5.0 guidelines that last month allowed cinemas, theaters and multiplexes to reopen with up to 50 percent of their seating capacity will remain in effect until November 30.

“The Ministry of the Interior (MHA) issued an order today to extend the guidelines for reopening, issued on 09/30/2020, so that they remain in effect until 11/30/2020,” a statement issued by the government reads. Follow COVID LIVE updates

The order further stated that the lockdown will continue to be strictly enforced in the containment zones until November 30, 2020. Previously, the guidelines for reopening activities issued on September 30 were to be in effect until October 31.

Under the Unlock 5.0 guidelines Announced in October, the MHA had allowed cinemas and multiplexes to open at 50 percent capacity. Limits for outdoor meetings were removed, while indoor meetings were allowed with 50 percent capacity. On the reopening of the schools, the MHA said that “state / UT governments have had the flexibility to make a decision after October 15, 2020, on a graduated basis.”

While most activities have been allowed, some activities involving large numbers of people have been allowed with some restrictions and are subject to standard operating procedures that are followed with regard to health and safety precautions. These activities include metro, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants and hospitality services, religious places, yoga and training institutes, gyms, cinemas, amusement parks, etc.

The guidelines also said that international travel, except those allowed by the Center, would remain closed.

Various ministries and departments have issued standard operating procedures for the reopening of activities. A maximum of 200 people were allowed in a closed space or hall and in an open space, depending on their size, at political meetings in Bihar, where by-elections will be held, and in those electoral districts where they will be held. by-elections.

The coronavirus-induced nationwide lockdown was first announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi starting on March 25 and was extended in phases until May 31. The process of unblocking in the country had begun on June 1 with the gradual reopening of the commercial, social, religious and other activities.
