New rules:

According to PVR Cinemas Regional Director Delhi Gagan Kapur, previously where before COVID-19 8-9 shows used to be presented in the auditorium, now only 5-6 shows will run.

General rules:

* Adequate physical spacing of at least 6 feet to be followed out of auditoriums, common areas, and waiting areas at all times.
* The use of covers / face masks will be mandatory at all times.
* Availability of hand sanitizers, preferably in non-contact mode, at entry and exit points, as well as in common areas within the facilities.
* Respiratory labels must be strictly followed. This involves the strict practice of covering your mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing with a tissue or handkerchief or your elbow flexed and discarding used tissues properly.

Entry and exit points:

* A thermal inspection of visitors / staff will be carried out at the entry points. Only asymptomatic people will be allowed to enter the facilities.
* Provisions for hand sanitizing must be available at all points of entry and in work areas.
* Designated queue markers must be available for audience entry and exit from the auditorium and facility.
* Departure should be staggered in rows to avoid overcrowding.
* A sufficient time interval will be provided between successive screenings on a single screen, as well as on multiple screens in a multiplex, to ensure staggered entry and exit of the audience.

Seating arrangement:

* The occupancy of cinemas, theaters and multiplex cinemas will not exceed 50% of their total capacity.
* The seating arrangement inside the auditorium of cinemas, theaters and multiplex cinemas will be carried out in such a way as to maintain an adequate physical distance.
* The seats that are ‘Do not occupy’ will be marked as such during the reservation (both for the online reservation and in the sale of tickets at the box office).

Rules of physical distancing:

* Proper crowd management must be ensured in parking lots and outside the facilities, duly following the rules of physical distancing.
* The number of people in the elevators will be restricted, duly maintaining the rules of physical distancing.
* Efforts will be made to avoid overcrowding in common areas, lobbies and bathrooms during intermission. The audience can be encouraged to avoid movement during intermission. Longer intermissions can be used to allow the audience seated in different rows of the auditorium to move in a staggered manner.

Staggered show times in multiplex:

* Staggered show times for multiple screens should be followed to avoid crowds.
* The start time, intermission period, and end time of a show on any screen will not overlap with the start time, intermission period, or end time of a show on any other screen in a multiplex.

Reservations and payments:

* Contactless digital transactions should be the preferred mode for issuance / verification / payments of tickets, food and beverages, etc. through the use of online reservations, the use of electronic wallets, QR code readers, etc.
* The contact number will be taken at the time of booking the tickets to facilitate the follow-up of contacts.
* The purchase of tickets at the box office will be open throughout the day and advance booking will be allowed to avoid crowds at the sales counters.
* A sufficient number of counters must be opened at the box office with the appropriate rules of physical distancing, to avoid crowds during the physical reservation of tickets.
* Floor markers will be used for physical distancing during queue management at the ticket office.

Sanitation of the premises:

* Frequent disinfection of all facilities, common facilities and all points that come into contact with human, for example, handles, railings, etc. must be guaranteed.
