Unlock 4: Schools and Universities to be Closed, Minister of Education Makes Important Announcement | India News

As the tentacles of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic continue to tighten their grip, students across the country have suffered the most from school and university closures. Since the last week of March, due to the deadly pandemic, many students have suffered the loss of education and now everyone is waiting for schools and universities to reopen.

India is currently taking its steps in the unlocking process and is now on Unlocking 4.0. The Union Ministry of the Interior has already issued the Unblocking 4.0 guidelines with the unblocking of public transport, including trains, metros, buses that have already started in a phased manner. The Unlock 4.0 guidelines also suggest that schools and universities reopen cautiously.

However, seeing the way that coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in the country, the Center has ordered the closure of schools and colleges until September 30. It should be noted that with Unblocking 4.0, it was believed that schools would open in the country from September 1.

The Union Ministry of Health issued on September 8 a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the partial reopening of schools for students in classes 9-12 on a voluntary basis, to receive guidance from their teachers, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ministry issued the SOP following the Center’s decision to allow the unlocking of activities in phases. It has issued generic preventive measures that include simple public health measures that must be followed to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand government said Tuesday that schools of any kind will not open in the state from September 21. Uttarakhand Education Minister Arvind Pandey said that no schools of any kind will be opened in the state from September 21, adding that the decision has been made in the wake of a growing number of coronavirus cases. He also said that the future of children cannot be put at risk, so the government has decided not to open any schools in the state.

Earlier, Haryana’s education minister gave a great statement about the opening of the university school. During an event last week, Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar said that Haryana is fully prepared to open schools in the state. He said the state government is waiting for permission and guidelines from the central government.

Haryana’s education minister has stated that the state is fully prepared to open schools, adding that preparations for them have already been completed. If permission is received from the central government, the schools can be allowed to open, he said, adding that the state government has made all the necessary arrangements for online school education during the closure.
