MUMBAI: In an apparent mockery of the Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on her comments “Mumbai feels like PoK”, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday he said that some people are not grateful for the city where they make a living.
Ranaut is in the eye of the storm for his recent comments about Mumbai and its police. “Why does Mumbai feel like Pakistani-occupied Kashmir?” Ranaut had tweeted, inviting criticism from various quarters.
She would require security from the Haryana or Himachal Pradesh police and would not accept the protection of the Mumbai police to expose an alleged “Bollywood drug mafia,” the award-winning actor had said.
Speaking in the legislature on the condolence motion, Thackeray, without giving a name, said: “Some people are grateful for the city where they live and earn a living, but others do not.”
The comments came as he was paying tribute to Anil Rathod, a former minister and former foreign minister for Shiv Sena who recently died.
“Anil bhaiyya came from Rajasthan and made Maharashtra his home. He was an unconditional Shiv sainik,” Thackeray said.
