Two infected nurses, Dadar hospital closed

On Friday, the BMC sealed Sushrusha Hospital in Dadar, a private facility, after two of its nurses tested positive for Covid-19. Twenty-eight other nurses have been quarantined and will be evaluated soon.

Kiran Dighavkar, assistant commissioner for ward G-North, said the two nurses, 27 and 42, were infected by a Worli doctor who recently visited the hospital. “It also infected an 83-year-old patient. With two new cases, Dadar has reported six patients with Covid-19.

The BMC has sealed some others private hospitals, including Jaslok Hospital on Peddar Road and Wokhardt Hospital in Central Mumbai, after its staff tested positive.
