Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is known for his love of plants and trees. He was last seen planting saplings in June to celebrate World Environment Day. On Monday, he was seen again in a picture taking care of an indoor flowerpot. And the image has gone viral for a curious reason.

In two identical images, shared by Photoshop genius and Twitter user Krishna, the CM from Delhi can be seen watering a potted plant resting on a saucer on a table. While both images are apparently identical, the photo editing professional had inserted a small change in the second image.

While sharing both images, Krishna wrote, “FIX.”

Since then the image has gone viral and many wonder what Krishna “fixed” in the image. While the ingenious trick had fooled many, a few observers managed to solve it.

A closer inspection of the evidence reveals that the edit had been done to CM himself. In the original photo, Kejriwal can be seen watering the plant. But instead of watering the pot, Kejriwal was watering the saucer under the pot.

In the edited image, Krishna “corrected” Kejriwal’s watering error by editing the photo to make it look like he was watering the soil in the pot.

Within hours of being posted, the photos have amassed more than 5,000 likes, despite the fact that many failed to spot the difference on their own.

The viral images were quite funny. But it seems like the joke is on the joker, as watering plants by keeping saucers moist is a legitimate way to water certain plants. Anyone interested in indoor gardening knows that plants can be watered both from above and below allowing the pots to sit in the water that seeps through the recesses under the pot.

Many noted that while the joke was hilarious, there was nothing in the original image that needed fixing.
