Mitchell Starc’s bouncer forced Bairstow to do a ballet spin to clear his own wicket with his bat and finish his soft stay in the fold. Crawling to a total of 157, the Australians looked down and out with the ball as the English batters played them without a hitch and scored runs all over the floor.
Australia did not get off to the best start as they lost 3 early wickets to cripple themselves early on. While David Warner went out for a Jofra Archer ripper, Alex Carey played an expensive shot and paid the price in the form of his wicket. After that, Steve Smith had a moment of brain fade while trying to execute a solo straight from Eoin Morgan’s hands. However, Aaron Finch along with Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Ashton Agar propelled the team to a score of 157.
In response, the English starters had no problem as they towed the bowlers around the park. Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler connected from the middle of their bats from the get-go. Once again, a dangerous Mitchell Starc was not in sight as he displayed another sub-par bowling performance. However, a goalkeeper of his allowed him to add 1 window to his bowling column despite. Against the march of the game, Starc threw a fast gorilla, which Bairstow reached for but couldn’t make contact with the bat and did a ‘ballet spin’ to hit his stumps.
Before leaving, the starter hit two handsome fours and looked effective in his short stint in the crease. However, as events unfolded, he didn’t know where his wicket was after being hit by the rhythm of the delivery. Despite a twist that would have been praised if he was a dancer, he ended up hitting his own wicket and managed to get out, which Australian players were unable to do until that point in the game.

What an unfortunate way to get fired.
