‘Trump won’t come to grant Bihar special status’: Tejashwi Yadav’s excavation in the Center

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Mahagathbandhan’s top ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Yadav, said on Saturday that US President Donald Trump will not come to Bihar to grant him special category status.

Speaking at the launch of the grand alliance manifesto for Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections scheduled for late October and November, Yadav said the state has a dual-engine government but it has not benefited the people. “Nitish Kumar has ruled the state for the past 15 years, but has yet to be granted special category status. The president of the United States, Donald Trump, will not come to agree that ”, he added.

The RJD leader then pointed to the broken promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the campaign for the last assembly elections and listed what he said were the failures of the state government.

Pointing towards the closure of the mills in the state, the RJD leader said: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015 said he will have a cup of tea at the Motiari mill. But you can see that in Bihar: the sugar mills, the jute mills, the paper mills, the rice mills are closed. No food processing units have been established. “

He also claimed that at least 60 scams took place during the NDA rule in Bihar under the leadership of Prime Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar. “Crime has increased in the state. JD (U) and BJP have stabbed Bihar in the back, ”he added.

Speaking about the state of employment in Bihar, Yadav said: “The most important factor in this election is unemployment. People are so mad at the current government. Many people lost their jobs and their businesses were also destroyed. The government is not investigating it. The central government did not visit 18 flood districts to estimate the loss. They are hungry for power.

The RJD leader has promised jobs to 10 lakh youths if his grand alliance comes to power. He said that the forms for government jobs will be made free of charge and the government will bear the travel expenses of the candidates who go to the exam centers. He added that Karupuri Shram Vir Sahayata Kendra will also open statewide for help that needs assistance. “I am a pure Bihari. My DNA is pure. As I have announced that if we come to power, we will employ 10 lakh young people in the first cabinet, ”he said during the publication of the manifesto.

He promised to allocate 12% of the budget to education, adding that there will be one teacher for every 30 students in elementary schools and one teacher for 35 students in secondary schools. Teachers will also be appointed for extracurricular activities such as art, computer science, and sports. Under the ‘Smart Gram Yojana’, a clinic with a doctor and a nurse will be established in each panchayat, according to the manifesto.

Congressional leaders Randeep Surejwala and Shaktisinh Gohil were also present at the launch of the alliance’s common minimum program document called Prann Hamara, Sankalp Badlav Ka.

The 243-seat state assembly goes to the polls in three phases beginning Oct. 28. The results will be announced on November 10.
