Calcutta:

In Bengal, the opposition BJP and the Left-Congress Party met separately today to discuss the strategy for the Bengal Assembly elections, which are just six months apart. For the ruling Trinamool Congress, the work is being done by electoral strategist Prashant Kishor. Some party MLAs complain about him, their voices louder after Kishor’s offer last week to meet with disgruntled Trinamool leader Suvendu Adhikari fell through.

The latest reports suggest that Trinamool has finally started communicating with Suvendu Adhikari. An anonymous deputy from the party is believed to have had a secret meeting with the Trinamool minister on Monday. Reports suggest that a high-level meeting could be held again today.

During the day, BJP’s firepower was on display. The main leaders who came from Delhi demarcated Bengal into five zones, putting a central party leader in charge of each.

Sunil Deodhar, the strategist of the party that snatched Tripura to the left, said: “I am sure we will win in Bengal by a two-thirds majority.” He is in charge of the Medinipur Zone.

The ‘Rarhbanga Zone has been assigned to Binod Sonkar, Uttar Banga to Harish Dwivedi, Kolkata to Dushyant Gautam and Nabadwip to Binod Tawade.

The zones in charge will meet on November 18, 19 and 20, examine the party’s position and send a report to the Union Interior Minister, Amit Shah, who is the party’s chief strategist.

Depending on his reports, Mr. Shah may return to Kolkata on November 30. If you do, you will visit twice in less than a month.

The last time he was in Calcutta, Shah had set a target of 200 out of 294 seats in Bengal for the BJP.

Mr. Amit Malviya, director of IT Cell who is now a co-observer from Bengal, repeated that goal. “Bengal has decided to eliminate Mamata Banerjee and give 200 seats to the BJP.”

When asked about Malviya rushing to Bengal, BJP head of state Dilip Ghosh said: “At least we don’t use hired people to push the party forward. Our people are party workers who come to Bengal for elections. “.

The Trinamool knows it is the focus of all the BJP’s polling strategies, but the leaders seem unfazed. Trinamool MP Sougata Roy said: “Amit Shah’s goal is a dream and will never be fulfilled. His party just repeats what he says. There is no need to take that seriously.”

Roy is also not concerned about rumors against Prashant Kishor from a growing number of MLA members and other party leaders.

“Do we have to learn politics from PK? Who is PK? If Trinamool suffers in Bengal, it will all be PK’s fault,” Niamat Sheikh, Murshidabad district Trinamool MLA, said at a public meeting on Sunday.

Cooch Behar MLA Mihir Goswami also expressed his displeasure and resigned from all organizational positions in the party six weeks ago.

Mr. Goswami posted several questions on social media today, including “Is Trinamool still Mamata Banerjee’s party?”

“The party seems to be handing it over to a contractor. A corporate team like the IPAC … will give orders or matters of party organization and a veteran politician like me will have to obey, that’s painful,” he added.

Today another Sitai MLA in the Cooch Behar district raised similar questions about IPAC.
