As Indian Railways restarts passenger train services starting tomorrow with 15 pairs of trains, the Home Office (MHA) has issued new guidelines for all those willing to take the train journey. According to the standard operating procedure for the movement of people by train, only those with confirmed electronic tickets can enter the station.
New rules for train passengers:
one) Only those passengers with confirmed electronic tickets will be able to enter the railway station.
2) Movement of the passenger and the driver of the vehicle transporting the passenger to and from the railway station will be permitted on the basis of the confirmed electronic ticket.
3) All passengers will be compulsory examined and only asymptomatic passengers can enter the train.
4) All passengers will receive hand sanitizers at the entry and exit points of the station and in the coaches.
5) It is mandatory that all passengers wear masks or masks at the entrance and during the trip.
6) During boarding and travel, all passengers must observe social distancing.
In the third phase of the coronavirus blockade, the government allowed Indian Railways to gradually restart passenger train operations starting tomorrow. Special trains will depart from the New Delhi station connecting Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Central Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi.
As all the ticket counters at the railway stations are closed, the reservation of train tickets can only be done through the IRCTC portal.
Giving an indication that the government is inclined to allow more trains to enter, the Interior Ministry said that the movement of trains will be gradually allowed by the Ministry of Railways, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). and the Ministry of the Interior (MHA).
