“I’m tired of making deals with Dahal (Prachanda),” Oli said, adding that he had reached several agreements with the former prime minister to keep the party’s unity intact.
The CPN-UML led by Oli and the NCP (Maoist Center) led by Prachanda merged in May 2018 to form a unified Communist Party of Nepal following the victory of their alliance in the 2017 general elections.

Condemning the dissolution of Parliament, the rival faction of the NCP organized a massive protest rally on Tuesday.
Addressing the rally, Prachanda had said that Oli’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives is aimed at killing the federalism and republicanism that were achieved after decades of struggle by the people.
Nepal’s Supreme Court issued a good cause notice to the Oli-led government on Friday, asking it to provide written clarification on its decision to abruptly dissolve Parliament.
The five-member constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana requested the government to submit an original copy of the recommendations made by him to dissolve the Chamber and the decision taken by the president to authenticate the government’s recommendations within the 10 days.
