SRINAGAR: Three terrorists and a civilian woman were killed, while two CRPF staff members, including an officer, were injured in a pre-dawn shooting Thursday in the Batamaloo area of the city, authorities said.

They said the search operation turned into an encounter after terrorists opened fire on security forces.
A civilian identified as Kaunsar Riyaz was killed in the shooting, while two CRPF staff members, including an officer, were injured, officials said.
The injured personnel were taken to the hospital and the operation was still ongoing, they said.
In the encounter that followed, three unidentified terrorists were killed, police tweeted, adding that searches were still continuing.
