This post about Uddhav Thackeray is going viral even as Fadnavis downplays the government formation with Ajit Pawar

It was an oath ceremony that took everyone by surprise last year, and now it’s a memory that’s just as hard to erase. Exactly one year ago, BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis was sworn as MaharashtraChief Minister at a very silent swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Bhavan with NCP Ajit pawar as your attachment.

Perhaps it is not a coincidence then that the first anniversary of that stealth movement is marked, a post in which he congratulates the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray it’s going viral.

On November 23, Fadnavis and Pawar junior shook the state with their action. Fadnavis was confident that the government under his leadership would not only survive, but would teach a lesson to Shiv Sena, Congress and the NCP who were still in talks to improvise an alliance to keep the BJP away from a second consecutive term.

However, the two had to resign within a few days, when Fadnavis realized that the numbers were clearly not in his favor and Ajit Pawar had fixed the fences with his party and returned to the party fold. The MVA rookie took office on November 28, and Ajit Pawar was once again sworn in as a CM deputy in the MVA.

The viral post compares Thackeray’s administration over the past year to Fadnavis’ leadership. The post has reportedly gone viral from the Shiv Sena neighborhoods.

The post, titled ‘My esteemed Chief Minister of Maharashtra’, not only praises Uddhav’s moderate leadership, but also criticizes Fadnavis’ work.

“Not the one who sits in a mask or inspects from a helicopter. We are proud of this progressive Chief Minister of Maharashtra,” the Marathi-language post reads.

Speaking to the media in Aurangabad, the former chief minister tried to downplay the entire episode.

“If the current government in the state collapses, the swearing-in ceremony will not take place at dawn,” he added. Fadnavis obviously wouldn’t want to remember what happened on November 23, 2019, but the internet is not forgotten and this photo from last year kept popping up on social media during the day.
