NTA NEET 2020 result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) prepares the list of NEET merits for applicants seeking admission to the country’s medical and dental schools in successive order of their ranks that they have achieved on the NEET exam. Once the list of merits of the NEETs was drawn up, the authority handed it over to the General Directorate of Health Services (DGHS), which is the competent authority to carry out the centralized assessment process.

The DGHS will then forward the list of merits of the NEETs to the State and Union Territories advisory authorities and these authorities will further prepare the list of merits of the NEETs for the state councils. Read on to learn more about the NEET merit list.
NEET merit list types
The authorities published the three types of merit lists mentioned in the table below. The entire list 220 of nini merits has been explained in more detail.

List of merits of AIR
The NEET AIR Merit List comprises the names of all candidates taking the exam along with their rank. It should be noted that the NEET AIR merit list does not take into consideration the applicant category.
List of AIQ merits
The AIQ Merit List displays the names of the candidates selected for the AIQ 50 percent pool. Please note that candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir will not be included as they have abstained from the centralized counseling process.
Also, if any other candidate wishes to individually claim eligibility, they must submit an online self-declaration that will be printed along with the confirmation page and must be submitted during counseling.
List of state merits
State medical councils prepare their own lists of merits for counseling based on factors such as the eligibility of the candidate’s residence. It will also represent the state rank of applicants on a comparative scale with applicants from the same state.

Cut off the merit list
The cut-off point is the minimum grade percentile that candidates must obtain on the NEET. Only those who achieve the minimum qualification limit have the opportunity to be included in the NEET merit list. Candidates will be assigned ranks on the merit list based on their scores. Candidates can refer to the following table for the prior year’s cutoff percentile and scores for reference.
