They find the body of the pilot MiG-29 missing 11 days after the accident

The body of the missing MiG-29 pilot, Commander Nishant Singh, was found on Monday, Indian Navy officials said.

Commander Singh had disappeared on November 26 after his MiG-29K training plane crashed in the Arabian Sea. The rescue teams were able to rescue the other pilot on board.

The Russian-sourced two-seat trainer fell off the west coast of India after taking off from the deck of the country’s only aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya.

The November 26 accident was the fourth accident involving the MiG-29K seafighter fleet. India’s main auditor had pointed out some deficiencies in the deck fighter, including engine problems, aircraft structure problems, deficiencies in its fly-by-wire system and poor serviceability, in a report presented at the Parliament four years ago.

The MiG-29K is plagued with problems related to the aircraft’s structure, the RD MK-33 engine and its fly-by-wire system, the Comptroller and Auditor General said in the July 2016 report.
