“They didn’t come with Bulldozer today …”

'They didn't come with a bulldozer today ...': Kangana Ranaut on Office Row

BMC officials have posted a notice “to stop the filtering work being done at the office,” the actor tweeted.

New Delhi:

A day after Kangana Ranaut claimed that Mumbai civic officials threatened to demolish her office amid her war of words with the Maharashtra government, the Bollywood actress posted an update on Twitter today. Civic officials did not demolish her office and instead posted a notice “to stop the filtering work being done at the office,” the actor tweeted.

The actress said civic body officials had received criticism from “my friends on social media” after the actor posted a video of officials at his office in Khar (West) Mumbai.

Ms Ranaut, who is in a rapidly escalating political row over comments on the Sushant Singh Rajput case comparing Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir, claimed officials visited her office, Manikarnika Films, a film production company , without warning on Monday and “harassed” his neighbors when they answered him.

“They have taken over my office by force … measuring everything, also harassing my neighbors when they responded … BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) officials used language like, ‘What Madame has done … everyone will have to endure the brunt, ‘”Ranaut said in a video posted to Twitter Monday afternoon. The “Queen” actor had then claimed that officials threatened to demolish her office on Tuesday (today).

The actress then responded in another tweet, noting that she had the required permits and “nothing illegal has been done on my property.”

It has sparked heavy attacks from Maharashtra’s ruler Shiv Sena over comments about the Mumbai police’s handling of the Sushant Rajput case. Ms. Ranaut, currently in her native Himachal Pradesh, had said that with the current government led by the Seine, she was afraid of living in Mumbai.

His comments had provoked a strong response from the ruling Shiv Sena and the NCP to the state Interior Minister Anil Deshmukh, saying that the actor “should not return to Mumbai if he feels unsafe.”

Ms Ranaut, however, has said that she plans to travel to Mumbai tomorrow and has also challenged the leaders of the Seine, or others, to stop her.

On Monday, the center announced that Ms. Ranaut, 33, will receive Y-Plus coverage based on a “threat assessment report.” Kangana Ranaut will become the first Bollywood actor to receive security coverage from the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force). The “Queen” actor will join an elite club that includes Chief Justice of India SA Bobde and Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
