Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Vaishvik Bhartiya Vaigyanik Summit (VAIBHAV) on Friday via video conference. The summit aims to bring together Indian researchers and academics resident and abroad under a common platform.
Previously, Modi tweeted: “We look forward to tomorrow’s Vaibhav Summit, which brings together scientists and researchers from the Indian diaspora. Join at 6:30 PM on October 2nd. ”
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office read: “The aim of the summit is to bring together luminaries of Indian origin in academic institutes and research organizations from around the world and their resident counterparts on a single platform to discuss the mechanisms. of collaboration to strengthen academic science and technology and (S&T) base in India for global development. ”
The summit is being organized by around 200 academic institutes and science and technology departments, led by the chief scientific advisor, the Government of India.

3. “In 2014, four new vaccines were introduced into our immunization program. This included a domestically developed rotavirus vaccine. We encourage the production of indigenous vaccines, ”said PM Modi.
4. The Prime Minister stressed: “We want first-class scientific research to help our farmers. Our agricultural research scientists have worked hard to increase our production of pulses. Today, we import only a very small fraction of our legumes. Our food grain production has reached a record. “
5. The need of the moment is to ensure that more young people develop an interest in science, Modi said, adding that one should become familiar with the science of history and the history of science.
