Hours after the CBI filed an indictment in the Hathras case on rape and murder charges against four defendants, opposition parties on Friday questioned the operation of the government led by Yogi Adityanath and claimed that no one in the state gets justice. or rights without a fight. . The charge sheet contradicted the UP police claim that the 19-year-old Dalit woman was not raped.

“The truth has prevailed again. The CBI charge sheet filed today against four defendants in the Hathras case indicates that the 19-year-old victim was brutally gang-raped and murdered. This development raises serious doubts about (the functioning) of the Adityanath government, UP police, ADG law and order, Hathras district magistrate and senior state administration officials, ”said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, party by UP, in a statement. .

“The state left no stone unturned to deny the dignity of the victim, in life or death. She was cremated without the consent of her family in the middle of the night. High-ranking police officers and bureaucrats strongly denied any rape, hinted at his family and took pleasure in blatantly embarrassing the victim, ”Priyanka alleged.

He said sections of the media that dared to report the truth were “mistreated.” “However, the whole power of the Uttar Pradesh government and police could not suppress the truth,” he said, adding that he cannot forget the “anguish” of the victim’s mother, who was unable to even say goodbye to her daughter.

Priyanka further said that she is “encouraged to see that the IWC has taken an important step towards justice, and I hope it brings some comfort to the victim’s family amid the immense suffering they have so bravely endured.”

Samajwadi Party chief and former UP prime minister Akhilesh Yadav said nothing can be achieved, not even justice, without fighting the BJP government in the state.

Bhajapa Sarkar se bina lare kuch bhi nahi milta, na insaf, na haq (Nothing can be achieved, neither justice nor rights, without fighting the BJP government), ”he tweeted. The SP chief said the CBI investigation was ordered by the government after pressure from the media, the opposition and the public.

The charge sheet was filed in a local court against four defendants. The Dalit woman was allegedly gang-raped and injured on 14 September. Fifteen days later, he succumbed to his injuries in a Delhi hospital.

The government and the BJP administration faced criticism for hastily cremating the woman at night in the absence of her family.
