Due to the increasing number of Corona cases, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has decided to host the remaining T20 international matches between India and England at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad behind closed doors. “GCA Vice President Dhanraj Nathwani said in a statement on Monday (March 15).
“The decision was made after detailed discussions with state and local health authorities,” the BCCI added in a statement. “The BCCI will continue to comply with all regulations in place to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus and will always put the health and safety of its fans and stakeholders at the top.”
The series is tied 1-1 with Ishan Kishan’s brilliant fifty on debut that led India to a series-level victory. The third T20I will be played on Tuesday (March 16). The remainder are scheduled for March 18 and 20.
