The Catalan police have delivered a report to the Barcelona court accusing the president of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, of corruption, according to the Spanish newspaper The world.
The Mossos They are investigating Bartomeu for alleged personal financial gain for his participation in the scandal known as ‘Barçagate’, where it was said that the club hired a third party called I3 Ventures to damage the reputation of current players and other club legends on the networks social.
Bartomeu has vehemently denied the reports, but Catalan police now say the president allegedly paid six times the market value to hire I3 Ventures, and authorities are now investigating the motives behind the overpayment.
