“From registering more than 95,000 cases of Covid-19 in one day, they have dropped substantially to less than 55,000 per day. India’s recovery rate is close to 90 percent. “The number of active cases is less than 7 lakh and the doubling rate has increased to 97.2 days, as of now,” Vardhan said.
From a single laboratory, the country now has nearly 2,000 laboratories.
The total number of Covid-19 tests conducted across the country has exceeded Rs 10 crore.

He said appropriate measures are being taken to combat the infectious disease.
